Walkabout with Police Liaison Representative

Good afternoon,

Today I have been for a walkabout with the Police Liaison Rep from Thrapston Town Council to discuss the on-going issues in the town.

During the walk the PLR raised concerns around Anti-Social Behaviour at the Skate Park as well as drug use. The PLR and I have come up with some suggestion to help tackle this which I am hoping will come into play as soon as possible. I have also been informed of drug use at the bridge as you go towards Islip.

Concerns were also raised about vandalism at the public toilets by COOP. The police are aware and monitoring this by working closely with COOP and Thrapston Town Council.

As always, we rely on residents to help us with any information and evidence of the above points. You can report crimes and information to us on 101 or going onto the Northants Police Website. And as always, call 999 in an emergency and if there is a crime in progress.

This was a real beneficial walkabout with the PLR and I hope this sends out a message to the residents that we do take reports of ASB seriously and will act on it where we can.
